Initial Intake

During your initial visit, we will have a comprehensive intake assessing different body systems and aspects of mental and emotional health. This will include an in-depth discussion about your reason(s) for seeking acupuncture. We will begin to formulate long-term and short-term goals and a plan to help you meet those goals. We will palpate specific acupuncture points to further our diagnosis and assessment. Every visit will include pulse assessment (this is different from a Western Medicine pulse evaluation) and tongue diagnosis (the tongue is a helpful tool to see what is going on with organ systems in the body). After our interview and physical exam, you will receive an acupuncture treatment with accompanying treatments if appropriate.

Follow-up Visit

At your follow-up visit, we will review progress and goals. This will include an abbreviated intake, reviewing pertinent body systems, and adjustment of care or planning, if needed. We will perform pulse and tongue diagnostics and palpation of acupuncture points to assess progress and current needs. You will receive a comprehensive acupuncture treatment including accompanying treatments if appropriate.

Group Acupuncture

Stay tuned for Group Acupuncture events. Here patients are seated in a group, asked a few questions, and receive pulse and tongue diagnoses. Attendees will receive acupuncture on distal points (below knee, past elbows, and points on head only) while experiencing a sense of community.

What other options do I have?

We can provide a superbill for reimbursement. A superbill is a detailed, itemized receipt that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. Please ask for more information if you are interested- we can help you to navigate!
